Sonder Magazine Epic Rides

I collaborated with design company, The Raw And Cooked, to create a series of editorial illustrations for the adventurous cycling magazine, 'Epic Rides'. 
The magazine was created for Alpkit, the owner of a cycling brand called Sonder. All words and images belong to Alpkit, the original magazine can be viewed here.
The map was created for the 'Backpacking the West Kernow Way' article. This illustration shows the 230km backpacking cycle route that weaves through Cornwall's countryside. On the adjacent page, there's a handy illustration demonstrating how to repair a flat bicycle tire without the need for patches.
The hourglass illustration serves as a metaphorical representation of 'What's Possible in 55 Hours,'. The article encourages readers to tap into their weekend warrior spirit and explore the accomplishments attainable within two days of cycling.
